Motion « Solidarité avec le peuple palestinien » votée au VIII e congrès de la CGT Educ’action (présentée par la CGT Educ’action 59 et la CGT Educ’action 31)
L’Assemblée Générale de l’ONU a proclamé 2014 «Année internationale de la solidarité avec le peuple palestinien».
En application de ses statuts confédéraux, la CGT Educ’Action défend et promeut les valeurs internationalistes, agit contre le colonialisme et pour la paix.
Réunie en Congrès national du 19 au 23 mai 2014 à Seignosse, elle met en œuvre la décision de l’Assemblée Générale de l’ONU :
1. en répondant favorablement à l’appel du peuple palestinien qui , en 2005, a créé le mouvement international, pacifique et citoyen, «Boycott – Désinvestissement – Sanctions contre Israël, tant que cet État refusera d’appliquer les droits fondamentaux du peuple palestinien».
Ce mouvement est soutenu par les anticolonialistes israéliens. La CGT Educ’Action s’engage à poursuivre les campagnes de boycott et de désinvestissement contre Veolia, Orange, Dexia, Sodastream, etc qui participent activement à la colonisation et à l’occupation de la Palestine, en violation totale du droit international.
La CGT Educ’Action exige l’abrogation de la circulaire Alliot-Marie criminalisant les militants qui participent aux actions BDS. Elle demande la relaxe de tous les militants poursuivis.
2. en s’engageant dans la «Campagne internationale pour la libération de Marwan Barghouti et de tous les prisonniers politiques palestiniens», initiative lancée symboliquement depuis la prison de Robben Island (Afrique du Sud) par Ahmed Kathrada, compagnon de cellule durant 20 ans de Nelson Mandela.
3. en s’adressant au gouvernement français par courrier, afin que ce dernier exige des autorités israéliennes le respect du droit international et la levée immédiate et sans condition du blocus illégal et inhumain de Gaza.

Motion “Solidarity with the Palestinian people” adopted at the Eighth
Congress of the CGT Educ’action union 2014 was proclaimed the “International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” by the United Nations General Assembly. The teachers’ union CGT Educ’action, in line with its confederal statutes, defends and promotes internationalist values and takes action against colonialism and for peace. Meeting at its national congress held in Seignosse from 19 to 23 May 2014, CGT Educ’action voted to implement the decision of the UN General Assembly: (1) by responding positively to the appeal by the Palestinian people who, in 2005, initiated the international, peaceful, citizens’ movement: Boycott-Divestment-Sanctions against Israel, as long as that State refuses to
respect the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people. This movement is supported by Israeli anti-colonialists. CGT Educ’action commits itself to pursue the boycott and divestment campaigns against Veolia, Orange, Dexia, Sodastream, and other companies which actively participate in the colonisation and occupation of Palestine, in total violation of international law. CGT Educ’action demands the repeal of the Alliot-Marie circular which
criminalises activists who participate in BDS actions. It calls for the acquittal of all activists being prosecuted. (2) by joining in the International Campaign for the liberation of
Marwan Barghouti and all Palestinian political prisoners, an initiative launched at the symbolic Robben Island prison in South Africa by
Ahmed Kathrada, who was for 20 years the cellmate of Nelson Mandela.
